The water-disintegrable leak-prevention sheet for use in absorbent articles contains a water-disintegrable base material layer, and a non-water soluble, biodegradable resin layer on top of the water-disintegrable base material layer, and is characterized in that the tear strength in the planar direction of the water-disintegrable leak-prevention sheet in both a first direction and a second direction perpendicular to the first direction is at most 0.15N/40mm.
