PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ketoprofene-containing preparation for external use, stabilizing the ketoprofene in the preparation and inhibiting the production rate of ketoprofene methyl ester at or less than a definite amount.SOLUTION: This preparation for external use is provided by containing 1 to 7 mass% ketoprofene and 2.1 to 10 mass% dibutylhydroxytoluene and showing &le0.2% production rate of the ketoprofene methyl ester relative to the ketoprofene based on the mass of the ketoprofene.
