PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hydrocarbon oil available continuously and stably in view of the fact that: hydrocarbon oils, although classified in petroleum-, synthesis-, fish-, and plant-based categories based on their origin, all of them are limited resources and difficult to obtain continuously and stably, and to provide a skin care preparation for external use compounded with such a hydrocarbon oil.SOLUTION: Farnesene produced by microorganisms is dimerized in the presence of carbonaceous substrate-containing nutrients, followed by making a chemical treatment including hydrogenation to obtain a straight-chain hydrocarbon oil, which is effective as an oil for skin care preparations for external use and available continuously and stably.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】炭化水素油は、その起源より石油系、合成系、動物魚系、植物系に分類されるが、いずれも限りある資源であり、継続して安定に入手することが困難である。そこで本発明は、継続して安定に入手可能な炭化水素油の製造方法並びにこれを配合してなる皮膚外用剤を提供することにある。【解決手段】これらの実情に鑑み、本発明者は鋭意研究を重ねた結果、炭素基質を含む栄養源存在下において微生物が産生するファルネセンを二量化し、水素添加などの化学処理をして得られる直鎖の炭化水素油が皮膚外用剤用の油剤として有効であり、かつ継続して安定に入手可能であることから、上記課題が解決されることを見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。【選択図】なし
