PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic with low viscosity capable of maintaining excellent stability even if a polar oil is mixed.SOLUTION: A water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic comprises: (A) 0.1 to 2 mass% of organic modified clay mineral； (B) 0.1 to 2 mass% of hydrophobic silica； (C) 2 to 5 mass% of a silicone-based surfactant； (D) an oil content in which 10 to 50 mass% of the total oil component is a non-polar hydrocarbon oil； and (E) 20 to 60 mass% of a water phase component. The total amount of (A) the organic modified clay mineral and (B) the hydrophobic silica is 0.2 to 2 mass%, and viscosity of the entire cosmetic is 1000 to 10000 mPa s at 30°C measured by the Brookfield viscometer.【課題】低粘度でありながら、極性油を配合しても優れた安定性を維持することができる油中水型乳化化粧料を提供する。【解決手段】（Ａ）有機変性粘土鉱物を０．１～２質量％、（Ｂ）疎水性シリカを０．１～２質量％、（Ｃ）シリコーン系界面活性剤を２～５質量％、（Ｄ）総油分の１０～５０質量％が非極性炭化水素油である油分、及び（Ｅ）水相成分を２０～６０質量％含有し、前記（Ａ）有機変性粘土鉱物と（Ｂ）疎水性シリカの合計が０．２～２質量％であり、化粧料全体の粘度が１０００～１００００ｍＰａ・ｓ（３０℃、Ｂ型粘度計）であることを特徴とする。【選択図】なし
