PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope excellent in user-friendliness which prevents temperature rise of a light-emitting element to be an endoscope light source to thereby allow a user to perform excellent observation for many hours under observation lighting by the light-emitting element, and allows the user to replace light-emitting elements when they need to be replaced.
SOLUTION: The endoscope 1 includes the light-emitting element 5a, an LG fiber 11, and an operation part 3 for fixing an LG fixing part 17. The light-emitting element 5a is provided with an element substrate 5b equipped with a substrate side contact point part 5e, a lens frame 5f abutted to the LG fixing part 17, and a heat dissipating block 5d for transmitting heat generated by the light-emitting element 5a, and is configured as an element unit 5. The operation part 3 is provided with a unit disposition part 3a to which the element unit 5 is freely removably attached. The LG fixing part 17 is provided with a contact point pin 18 which is electrically connected to the substrate side contact point part 5e when the element unit 5 is attached to the unit disposition part 3a.
