PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder pigment that can color objects in a uniform and vivid color without producing spots, uneven colors, etc. without using pulverizer.
SOLUTION: The powder pigment includes a pigment and a dextrin having following property (a), namely, the blue value measured in the following conditions is in a range of 0.4-1.2: (1) to prepare 1 w/v% dextrin solution using distilled water of 80°C, and to cool the solution down to 25°C, (2) to mix 10 ml of the 1 w/v% dextrin solution (25°C) with 10 ml of a water solution containing 20 mg iodine and 200 mg potassium iodide, and to adjust to make 100 ml by distilled water, (3) the prepared solution is shaken for 30 minutes at 25°C under shading of light, then to measure absorbance of the reaction mixture at 680 nm using a spectrophotometer at 25°C.
