PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the size and shape of the cerebral aneurysm by a uniform method.
SOLUTION: This aneurysm measuring method specifies blood vessel core line based on three-dimensional image data imaged by CT, MRI and 3DDSA, continuously generates a cross section perpendicular thereto and extracts an aneurysm part and a parent blood vessel part from a cross-sectional image indicating features of an area expansion and deterioration of circularity and cross-sectional images other than that. Based thereon, a boundary surface (a neck region) of the both is automatically recognized and the neck length and the vertical/lateral lengths of the aneurysm are specified using the cross-sectional images.
