PURPOSE: A composition containing a natural product extract for alleviating pruritus and atopic dermatitis is provided to prevent itching and skin barrier damage and deterioration of atopic dermatitis, caused by scratching itchy skin.CONSTITUTION: A composition which effectively alleviates pruritus and atopic dermatitis contains a crude drug mixture as an active ingredient. The crude drug mixture is prepared by dipping 40-45 wt% of Rumex japonicus Houtt., 40-45 wt% of Hibisci cortex, and 10-20 wt% of camphor in 70-90 % ethanol and extracting the same.
