PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which liquid is unlikely to flow in a width direction of the absorbent article and, moreover, which does not twist easily and is excellent in leak prevention.SOLUTION: The adsorbent article comprises: a surface sheet 1 arranged on a skin contact surface side； a rear surface sheet 2 arranged on a non-skin contact surface side； and an absorber 3 arranged between these two sheets, and has a longitudinal direction X matching a back and forth direction of a wearer when worn and a width direction Y. The surface sheet 1 has, alternately in the width direction Y, a first projection part 1bL continuously or discontinuously projecting along the longitudinal direction X on the skin contact surface side and a second projection part 1sL having a low projection part 1s continuously or discontinuously projecting along the longitudinal direction X.
