PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having a superior leakage prevention property and effectively preventing both of leakage from the sides and leakage from the front/rear ends.
SOLUTION: This absorbent article 1 is provided with a liquid-permeable surface sheet, a rear side sheet and an absorber disposed between both sheets and is formed into a substantially vertically long shape. The surface sheet 2 has a central area 2a disposed at a central portion extending in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article and side-part areas 2b and 2b disposed at both right and left sides of the central area, wherein the central area 2a is formed with multiple projections 21 dispersed in the longitudinal and width directions of the absorbent article, and the side areas 2b and 2b are formed with a plurality of rows of projection rows R1-R3, which are formed by serially aligning the multiple projections in the longitudinal direction, in the width direction of the absorbent article.
