PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional water generator capable of preventing contamination of an adsorption component such as a hardness ion component into mist or steam diffused into the air by a diffusion part.SOLUTION: A water storage tank 20 has: a first water storage part 20a into which water is supplied from the outside, and which is provided with an exhaust port 25 and a second water storage part 20b which is partitioned via a partition wall 21 with respect to the first water storage part 20a, and into which water is supplied by overflow from the first water storage part 20a.
