Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for eliciting immune responses against antigens. In particular, the compounds and methods elicit immune responses against foreign antigens that are otherwise recognized by the host as self” antigens, thus breaking host tolerance to those antigens. Presenting the host immune system with a chimeric antigen comprising an immune response domain and a target binding domain, wherein the target binding domain comprises an antibody fragment, enhances the immune response against the foreign or tolerated antigen. Antigen presenting cells take up, process, and present the chimeric antigen, eliciting both a humoral and cellular immune response against the desired antigen.Compositions et méthodes permettant de susciter des réponses immunitaires contre des antigènes. En particulier, lesdits composés et méthodes suscitent une réponse immunitaire contre des antigènes étrangers qui seraient sinon reconnus par lhôte comme antigènes autologues, supprimant ainsi la tolérance de lhôte vis-à-vis de ces antigènes. La présentation au système immunitaire hôte dun antigène chimère comportant un domaine de réponse immunitaire et un domaine de liaison cible, le domaine de liaison cible comportant un fragment danticorps, favorise la réponse immunitaire contre lantigène étranger ou toléré. Des cellules de présentation de lantigène absorbent, traitent et présentent lantigène chimère, suscitant une réponse immunitaire tant humorale que cellulaire contre lantigène désiré.
