The inner surfaces and/or the outer surfaces of band-shaped leg-surrounding elastic members (14, 14) in a disposable pants-type nappy (1) are joined to sheet members (271, 272, 281, 282) which are included in a clasped-hand style joining region (50) and a crotch region (6) in the nappy (1). The band-shaped leg-surrounding elastic members (14, 14) extend from the clasped-hand style joining region (50) along the periphery (15, 15) of the leg holes. The sheet members (271, 272, 281, 282) also extend along the periphery (15, 15) of the leg holes in the range in which the band-shaped leg-surrounding elastic members (14, 14) extend along said periphery (15, 15).
