PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the protrusion of a handle of a double bearing fishing reel outward. SOLUTION: A detent 10 and a male screw 11 are provided on the end of a handle shaft 6. A detent plate 7 that have a through-hole 12 of the shape corresponding to the detent 10 is fitted to the handle shaft 6. A female screw 13 is threaded from the outside of the detent plate 7 to a male screw 13 of a handle 8. The detent plate 7 is fixed with a screw nut 15 so that it may not revolve.
