The purpose of the present invention is to achieve an information service method and the like whereby it is possible to efficiently and accurately provide a user with information desired by the user, from a vast number of information sources and on the basis of levels of involvement with each request from the user. In order to accomplish this purpose, a computer system: generates metadata for content provided by each information site of a plurality of information sites, said metadata including additional information relating to said levels of involvement; stores the metadata; selects metadata matching a request received from a user-side terminal device, on the basis of the additional information; transmits the selected metadata to the user-side terminal device; and, upon receiving a request for content associated with the selected metadata from the user-side terminal device, allows the user-side terminal device to access the content.
