Monitoring glue coating in prodn. of glued V-teeth joining of wood pieces - using glue coating on entire surface of teeth on one of two wooden pieces to be joined together
The electromagnetic waves (17) emanating from the coating layer are captured by a line camera (11) with a small opening angle, of a receiving unit. The waves are converted into electrical signals and are transmitted to a processor (10) of an evaluation system. The processor establishes whether the regions of the V teeth are covered by the layer of glue. Several cameras (11) are arranged so that their object fields mutually contact or overlap. The entire width (28) of the wood piece (2) is covered at right angles to a relative movement direction (3) of the wood piece (2) and the line cameras (11). ADVANTAGE - Ensures that glue layer on V-tooth surface is complete.
