PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous body containing apatite/collagen composite fibers and having almost flat pores, and also to provide a method for producing the same.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the porous body containing apatite/collagen composite fibers includes the step of gelling a dispersion containing apatite/collagen composite fibers, collagen and water and the step of cross-linking the collagen within the porous body. The method includes, prior to the gelling step, the step of attaching vapor to the apatite/collagen composite fibers. The porous body is also provided which contains the apatite/collagen composite fibers produced by the production method and having almost flat pores.
