To provide a highly safe silver-based antimicrobial composition that exhibits antimicrobial property early in accord with the decomposition and absorption of calcium compound after a bone regeneration material is implanted in the body and that yet has a low risk of developing cytotoxicity.SOLUTION: By mixing a calcium acetate solution and a silver nitrate solution to generate a white precipitate, followed by adding thereto nitric acid to dissolve and prepare a sample solution, followed by subjecting to ultrasonic spray pyrolysis to produce a hollow approximately spherical calcium carbonate particle in which silver nanoparticles are distributed and deposited approximately homogeneously on the surface, and thereby an antimicrobial inorganic filler is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4【課題】骨再生材料が体内にインプラントされた後カルシウム化合物の分解吸収に伴い抗菌性を早期に発揮し、尚且つ細胞毒性を発現する恐れの少ない安全性の高い銀系抗菌性組成物を提供する。
