A plant cultivating apparatus which is provided with a casing in which planting surface-carrying plant cultivating panels are stored, and a machine storage formed unitarily with the casing on the inner or outer side thereof and having therein a machine for air-conditioning at least the interior of the casing, and a machine for supplying a cultivating liquid to the plant cultivating panels. The plant cultivating panels are arranged in a plurality of rows in the interior of the casing so that these panels can be drawn out. The interior of the casing can be shut off from the outer environment, i.e. outer atmosphere while plants are cultivated therein, and, during this time, human work is carried out from the outside only of the casing. Accordingly, the energy efficiency and cultivation efficiency of the apparatus is greatly improved. Since the plant cultivating panels can be taken out of and inserted into an apparatus body easily and handled efficiently, the planting harvesting and panel cleaning efficiencies are improved. <IMAGE>
