The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition, a functional health food, and a pharmaceutical composition for anti-oxidation, containing, as an active ingredient, a black burdock extract which is obtained by heat-treating a subterranean part of Arctium lappa in a sealed condition at a high temperature for a long time, and then undergoing a low temperature aging process. The black burdock extract having excellent anti-oxidative effects of the present invention has a strong scavenging functions against various active radicals as compared with raw burdock, as demonstrated in an embodiment of the present specification. The active ingredient of the present invention can be processed into various forms such as an extract, powder, a pill, and a tablet, and can be applied to applications such as antioxidant pharmaceutical compositions, health functional foods, or cosmetic compositions, thereby being useful in a pharmaceutical industry, a food industry, and a cosmetic industry.본 발명은 우엉(Arctiumlappa)의 지하부를 밀폐된 고온에서 장시간 열처리하고 저온 숙성하여 제조된 흑우엉(Black burdock) 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 항산화(anti-oxidation)용 약학적 조성물, 건강 기능 식품 및 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 우수한 항산화 효과를 갖는 흑우엉 추출물은 본 명세서의 실시예를 통해 증명된 바와 같이 생우엉에 비해 다양한 활성 라디칼에 대해 강력한 소거능을 가진다. 본 발명의 유효성분은 추출액, 분말, 환, 정 등의 다양한 형태로 가공되어 항산화용 약학 조성물, 건강 기능 식품 또는 화장료 조성물 등의 용도에 적용될 수 있으므로, 의약품 산업, 식품 산업 및 화장품 산업상 매우 유용한 발명인 것이다.
