A drainage stent delivery system including an elongate shaft of a medial device, a drainage catheter or stent, and a retention mechanism for selectively retaining the drainage stent on the elongate shaft. The tubular stent is positioned on and surrounding the elongate shaft. The elongate shaft includes a distal tip portion which is deflectable from a first position to a second position, the distal tip portion of the elongate shaft being biased toward the first position. Deflecting the distal tip portion of the elongate shaft from the first position to the second position moves the distal tip portion toward the central longitudinal axis of the tubular stent to allow the stent to be decoupled from the elongate shaft.La présente invention concerne un système de mise en place de stent de drainage qui comprend une tige allongée dun dispositif médial, un stent ou cathéter de drainage, et un mécanisme de rétention destiné à sélectivement retenir le stent de drainage sur la tige allongée. Le stent tubulaire est positionné sur la tige allongée et lentoure. La tige allongée comprend une partie dextrémité distale qui peut passer dune première position à une seconde position, la partie dextrémité distale de la tige allongée étant inclinée vers la première position. Le fait de faire passer la partie dextrémité distale de la tige allongée de la première position à la seconde position fait se déplacer la partie dextrémité distale vers laxe longitudinal central du stent tubulaire et permet au stent de se désolidariser de la tige allongée.
