The subject of the present invention is a novel haemostatic composition that is particularly useful for ensuring good haemostasis and maintaining sulcular opening after a gingival eviction procedure. According to the invention, this composition is in the form of an extrudable hydrophilic paste and contains, expressed as a percentage by weight, based on the total mass of said composition: between 5 and 15% of an astringent agent, preferably aluminum chloride； between 2 and 15% of kaolin clay, preferably kaolin； - Between 10 and 20% of a texturing agent comprising one (or more) polysaccharide (s) of natural origin having a gelling or thickening potential optionally associated with plant fibers； - between 50 and 70% water； between 0 and 20% of a humectant； the total amount of water and humectant being between 55 and 75% by weight relative to the total mass of the composition.
