The present invention relates to a novel haemostatic composition which is particularly useful for ensuring proper haemostasis and keeping a sulcus open after a gingivectomy procedure. According to the invention, said composition is provided in the form of an extrudable hydrophilic paste and contains, expressed in weight percentage relative to the total weight of said composition: 5 to 15 % of an astringent, preferably aluminium chloride 2 to 15 % of kaolinite clay, preferably kaolin 10 to 20 % of a texturising agent including one or more natural polysaccharide(s) having a gelling or thickening capacity, optionally combined with plant fibres 50 to 70 % of water 0 to 20 % of a humectant, the total amount of water and humectant being 55 to 75 wt % relative to the total weight of the composition. The invention can be used in the dental field.La présente invention a pour objet une nouvelle composition hémostatique notamment utile pour assurer une bonne hémostase et maintenir louverture sulculaire après une procédure déviction gingivale. Selon linvention, cette composition se présente sous la forme dune pâte hydrophile extrudable et contient, exprimé en pourcentage en masse rapporté à la masse totale de ladite composition : entre 5 et 15 % dun agent astringent, de préférence le chlorure daluminium entre 2 et 15 % dargile kaolinique, de préférence de kaolin entre 10 et 20 % dun agent de texture comprenant un (ou plusieurs) polysaccharide(s) dorigine naturelle présentant un pouvoir gélifiant ou épaississant éventuellement associé(s) à des fibres végétales entre 50 et 70 % deau entre 0 et 20 % dun agent humectant la quantité totale deau et dagent humectant étant comprise entre 55 et 75 % en masse rapportée à la masse totale de la composition.
