PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type robot matching furniture with high design properties without an appearance for the elderly or rehabilitation and having an action support function, action recovery function, and biological information acquisition function or the like for a user.SOLUTION: A chair type robot 100 includes: a chair part 120 having a crossing circle of a generally spherical body B and a plane P in the generally spherical body B as an opening face 130, and having a ball-chair shape; and a holding part 150 holding a lower spherical face of the chair part 120 so as to allow the chair part 120 to oscillate in arrow R(1) and arrow R(2) directions.
