PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfectant which includes olanexidine in such a concentration as to show an effective bactericidal activity, is used for stable disinfection without depositing olanexidine, and is reduced in side effects such as skin irritation.
SOLUTION: The disinfectant includes an aqueous solution which includes olanexidine and gluconic acid, the amount of the latter being at least equimolar with the former, and substantially does not include an acid other than gluconic acid and a salt thereof.
