PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently breeding seaweed applicable as food, feed, raw material for chemicals, and seeds and seedlings of seaweed for transplanting for developing seaweed beds.SOLUTION: The method for breeding seaweed comprises setting a planar rope 1 as a base used throughout adhesion of seeds of seaweed 3 to subsequent growth thereof on the sea bottom 4 in a horizontal state via sandbags 2. The planar rope 1 is formed into a rectangular flat plate shape by alternately and closely folding a long rope in a longitudinal direction, and the seeds of germ cells 3a or the like fall on the surface of the rope from the seaweed 3 placed near the rope and are implanted on the surface. The planar rope 1 is unfolded at a stage when the seeds grow into young bodies to turn back to the original linear long rope, and the long rope is kept horizontal so as to make the young bodies further grow up.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】食用、餌料、化学品の原料、さらには藻場造成のための移植用海藻種苗としての適用も可能な海藻類の効率的な増殖方法を提供する。【解決手段】海藻3の種の付着から、その後の生育に至るまでの基盤となる面状ロープ体1が、ほぼ水平状態で土のう2を介して海底4に設置される。面状ロープ体1は、長尺のロープを長手方向に対して交互に密接状態となるように折り返すことにより矩形の平板状に形成され、その近くに置かれた海藻3から生殖細胞3a等の種が表面に落下して着生する。そして、種が幼体になった段階で面状ロープ体1を展開して元の線状の長尺ロープとし、これを水平状態に保持して幼体をさらに育成する。【選択図】 図1
