PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt rod which can sufficiently cope with time taking fishing while reducing burden to wrists and damage to arms and elbows.SOLUTION: A reel sheet 2 is mounted to the rod tip side, and an arm rest 3 is mounted on a butt rod A on the side closer to the bottom of the rod from the reel sheet 2. Planes 3A for arm resting of the arm rest 3 are formed at a plurality of places on the circumference direction, and constituted to be placed radially outside of an outer circumference plane of the butt rod A.
