The present invention relates to a hair treatment process comprising the application to the hair of an aqueous-alcoholic composition comprising at least 5% of at least one C1-C7 alcohol and at least one organic monoacid, followed by a straightening/relaxing step using a straightening iron at a temperature of at least 100°C. The process of the invention allows good straightening of the hair, while durably reducing the volume and the frizziness effect of the hair.Cette invention concerne un procédé de traitement des cheveux comprenant lapplication à la chevelure dune composition à base deau-alcool comprenant au moins 5 % dau moins un alcool C1-C7 et au moins un monoacide organique, suivie dune étape de lissage/relaxation à laide dun fer à lisser à une température dau moins 100°C. Le procédé selon linvention permet dobtenir un bon lissage des cheveux, tout en réduisant durablement le volume et leffet frisottant des cheveux.
