PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam sterilizer capable of bringing about an overall energy-saving effect during standby time because time for a return from an energy-saving mode is short.SOLUTION: An on-off valve 2b for an air vent is opened/closed in association with a change in temperature of a boiler chamber 2B in an initial operation, and air is discharged from the boiler chamber 2B. Thus, temperature irregularity inside the boiler chamber 2B is eliminated. Even when switched to an energy-saving mode during subsequent standby time, a closed state of the on-off valve 2b for the air vent is maintained, and the air vent of the boiler chamber 2B is not repeatedly performed. thereby, a decrease in the internal temperature of the boiler chamber 2B is prevented so that the temperature can rise to first preset temperature of a normal mode in a short period of time even when the energy-saving mode is eliminated. Additionally, since temperature control is performed so that temperature of an electric heater 2a can be lower than the first preset temperature, power consumption of the electric heater 2a is kept lower than power consumption during the standby time in the normal mode.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】省エネモードからの復帰時間が短くて待機中の全体的な省エネ効果が図れる蒸気滅菌器を提供する。【解決手段】初動時においてボイラー室2Bの温度変化に伴い空気抜き用開閉弁2bが開閉して、ボイラー室2Bから空気を排気させることにより、ボイラー室2B内の温度ムラが解消される。その後の待機中に省エネモードに切り替えても、空気抜き用開閉弁2bの閉弁が維持されて、ボイラー室2Bの空気抜きが繰り返し行われないため、ボイラー室2B内の温度低下が防止されて、省エネモードを解除しても通常モードの第一設定温度に短時間で上昇可能となると同時に、電気ヒータ2aが第一設定温度よりも低温に温度制御されるため、電気ヒータ2aの消費電力が通常モードの待機中よりも抑えられる。【選択図】図1
