A cosmetic composition is provided including a water-insoluble UV-A organic sunscreen agent having a גmax ranging from 330 to 380 nm, a UV-B organic sunscreen agent having a גmax ranging from 280 to 400 nm, and a photoprotective enhancing agent which is a polyhydroxy quaternary ammonium salt such as bis(dihydroxypropyl)dimethylammonium chloride, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, and wherein the composition exhibits an SPF value which is 1 to 30 units higher than in the absence of the photoprotective enhancing agent.L'invention concerne une composition cosmétique contenant un agent de protection solaire organique anti-UV-A insoluble dans l'eau, présentant un גmax compris entre 330 et 380 nm, un agent de protection solaire organique anti-UV-B ayant un גmax compris entre 280 et 400 nm, et un agent renforçateur de photoprotection qui est un sel d'ammonium quaternaire de polyhydroxy, tel que le chlorure de bis(dihydroxypropyl) diméthylammonium, dans un support cosmétiquement acceptable, cette composition présentant un FPS qui est de 1 à 30 unités plus élevé qu'en l'absence de l'agent renforçateur de photoprotection.
