The present invention relates to a composition for microalgae cryopreservation, containing, as active ingredients, a mixture of sucrose and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as a cryopreservative. The present invention further relates to a microalgae cryopreservation method including a step of adding microalgae into the composition and then freezing the same. By using the mixed cryopreservative of the present invention, microalgae can be stably cryopreserved at -70°C.본 발명은 동결보존제로서 DMSO(dimethyl sulfoxide)와 자당 혼합물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 미세조류 동결 보존용 조성물 및 상기 조성물에 미세조류를 첨가하여 동결시키는 단계를 포함하는 미세조류 동결 보존 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 혼합 동결보존제를 이용하면 -70℃ 조건에서 미세조류를 안정적으로 동결보존할 수 있다.
