The present invention relates to a prefilled syringe containing labetalol for safe delivery of proper dosage form and enhanced sterility. The present syringe is prefilled with Labetalol and hence there is no requirement of syringe to be filled from vial prior to administration. This eliminates the risk of glass or other particles to enter the drug solution while breaking the tip of vial to fill the syringe from it. This also eliminates the risk of contamination while filling the syringe from the vials and exposure of the drug to the air. In addition, the present syringes provide a solution to dilution and dosage errors. This further eliminates the requirement of handling diluting solutions separately. Also the drug vials are not at all required. Only a prefilled syringe containing labetalol is to be handled and further to be used to administer the drug.
