The mobile terminal (1) automatically compares the foodstuff associated with the cooking recipes with information about a current personal stock (12) assigned to an individual. A display device (3) of the mobile terminal (1) displays only those cooking recipes the associated meals of which need only foodstuffs which are present in the current personal stock (12), or displays only those cooking recipes the associated meals of which need foodstuffs of which a predefined or predefinable maximum number of foodstuffs are missing from the current stock (12).
