The invention relates to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology.The device for treatment of senile cataract involves a syringe (1) with a needle made of two segments bent at an angle of 90°, the proximal segment (2) has a length of 5 mm, and the distal one (3) - of 7 mm.The method for treatment of senile cataract consists in that it is carried out the local and regional anesthesia, is fixed the superior rectus muscle, is performed an incision of conjunctiva at the limbus level, which corresponds to 1000…1400 oclock, is performed the puncture of the anterior chamber at the limbus level, which corresponds to 1100 oclock, by means of said device and are introduced 0.3 ml of sterile air under the capsule of lens, then it is marked the anterior lens capsule by introducing 0.2 ml of methylene blue, is performed a circular incision at the limbus level, which corresponds to 1000…1300 oclock, is removed the nucleus of the lens, is performed the lavage of lenticular masses, is implanted an artificial lens, are sutured in layers the tissues, and in the subconjunctival space is introduced an antibiotic and a corticosteroid drug.Invenţia se referă la medicină, în special la oftalmologie.Dispozitivul pentru tratamentul cataractei senile include o seringă (1) cu ac executat din două segmente unite sub un unghi de 90º, segmentul proximal (2) are lungimea de 5 mm, iar cel distal (3) - de 7 mm.Metoda de tratament al cataractei senile constă în aceea că se efectuează anestezia locală şi regională, se fixează muşchiul rect superior, se efectuează o incizie a conjuctivei la nivelul limbului, ce corespunde orelor 1000…1400, se efectuează puncţia camerei anterioare la nivelul limbului, ce corespunde orei 1100, cu ajutorul dispozitivului menţionat şi se introduc 0,3 ml de aer steril sub capsula cristalinului, apoi se marchează capsula anterioară a cristalinului prin introducerea a 0,2 ml de albastru de metilen, se efectuează o incizie circulară la nivelul limbului, ce corespunde orelor 1
