PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound diagnostic imaging apparatus which can obtain a broadband harmonic component by a transmission signal of square wave which can output transmission ultrasound wave with a simple configuration and obtain a good ultrasound image.SOLUTION: A transmitting unit makes an ultrasound probe 2 generate transmission ultrasound waves by outputting each of a first transmission signal which is an asymmetric signal waveform about a time axis, a second transmission signal which is a phase-inverted version of a signal waveform of the first transmission signal, a third transmission signal which is a time-inverted version of the signal waveform of the first transmission signal and a fourth transmission signal which is a phase-inverted and time-inverted version of the signal waveform of the first transmission signal, as a driving signal.
