A drying apparatus for drying food, seed, food waste and the like by use of dry air of room temperature with a dehumidifier without heating an article to be dried is provided. The drying apparatus is simple in structure and easy to take in the article to be dried and take out the dried product from the drying apparatus. The drying apparatus has a rotary jar(5) which is slowly rotated 180deg. in an upright state by use of a bracket(2) for supporting the rotary jar, a motor(4) and a frame(3) for supporting the rotary jar. During the agitation of an object to be dried, dry air is supplied to the interior of the jar from a blow hole of a dehumidifier.
