A Solanaceous plant exhibiting a facultative parthenocarpy is provided. The plant comprises a loss-of-function mutation in a Sl AGL6 gene and alternatively or additionally characterized by an average fruit weight/plant at least about the same as that of a non-parthenocarpic tomato of the same genetic background under fertilization permissive conditions of the non-parthenocarpic tomato. Also provided are methods of producing such plants and processed products produced from same.La présente invention concerne une plante Solanacée présentant une parthénocarpie facultative. La plante comprend une mutation de perte de fonction dans un gène Sl AGL6 et alternativement ou additionnellement caractérisée par un poids moyen de fruits/plante au moins environ identique à celui d'une tomate non parthénocarpique du même contexte génétique dans la fécondation des conditions permissives des tomates parthénocarpiques. L'invention concerne également des procédés de production de ces plantes et les produits transformés obtenus à partir de ceux-ci.
