PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface material of an absorbent article, which prevents the side leakage of body fluid and dissolves the bulkiness of a sanitary napkin.
SOLUTION: The surface material 1 is disposed in the width direction of the absorbent article, and comprises one first sheet 11 positioned at the center part, two second sheets 12a and 12b positioned on both sides of the first sheet 11, and two third sheets 13a and 13b positioned on the outer side of the respective two second sheets 12a and 12b. As for the surface material 1, both side end parts on the skin abutting surface side of the first sheet 11 and one side end part on the skin non-abutting surface side of the two second sheets 12a and 12b overlap respectively to form two first overlap parts 14a and 14b, and the other side end parts on the skin abutting surface side of the two second sheets 12a and 12b and one side end part on the skin non-abutting surface side of the two third sheets 13a and 13b overlap respectively to form two second overlap parts 15a and 15b.
