PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary article which is kind to the natural environment in which the entire product decomposes and disappears into water and carbon dioxide in the natural world, and a sanitary article which can be flushed with water in the flush toilet. SOLUTION: A hygiene article comprising a topsheet (1), a backsheet (2), and an absorber (3) sandwiched between the topsheet and the backsheet, the topsheet (1) and the absorber. (3) is made of a water-decomposable material, and the back sheet (2) is made of a waterproof biodegradable material. Further, it is preferable that the top sheet and the absorbent body are made of a biodegradable water-decomposable material, and the back sheet is made of a waterproof water-decomposable biodegradable material. The biodegradable material is preferably a polylactic acid-based resin, and is preferably composed of 80 to 100% by weight of polylactic acid or lactic acid-hydroxycarboxylic acid copolymer and 0 to 20% by weight of a plasticizer. In particular, it is preferable that the backsheet (2) has a water-decomposable material as a base material and a water-repellent layer provided on the surface thereof. [Selection diagram] Figure 2【課題】製品全体が自然界において水と炭酸ガスに分解して消滅する自然環境に優しい衛生用品、及び製品全体を水洗トイレで水に流せる衛生用品を提供する。【解決手段】表面シート(1)、裏面シート(2)、及び表面シートと裏面シートの間に挟装された吸収体(3)とから成る衛生用品において、表面シート(1)、及び吸収体(3)が水解性材料で構成され、裏面シート(2)が防水性の生分解性材料で構成されてなる。また、表面シート及び吸収体が生分解性の水解性材料で構成され、裏面シートが防水性の水解性生分解性材料で構成されることが好ましい。生分解性材料は、ポリ乳酸系樹脂が好ましく、ポリ乳酸又は乳酸-ヒドロキシカルボン酸コポリマー80~100重量%と可塑剤0~20重量%とからなるものであることが好ましい。特に、裏面シート(2)が、基材が水解性材料であり、その表面に撥水層が設けられたものが好ましい。【選択図】図2
