A device allowing underground fertilisation and irrigation without risk of polluting the water table or of erosion of the soil using about one litre of water per square metre per day. Consists of a watertight trough 1. A corrugated sheet 2 is fixed into the trough without touching the bottom. The volume 3 is fed with fertilised water through the hole 8. The water penetrates the upper part through the holes 4. The hollows in the sheet are half filled with gravel 5. The volume 6 is made up with earth or compost. The water rises by capillary action. This device is particularly designed for cultivation in dry regions. <IMAGE>
