PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional paper sheet obtained by modifying pulp fibers which do not give any environmental load and are natural raw materials, for imparting deodorizing and anti-bacterial properties to the pulp itself, and further compounding the deodorizing agent and anti-bacterial agent by a papermaking or an impregnating method to improve its characteristics, and a method for producing the same and a functional filter processed from the sheet.
SOLUTION: This functional paper sheet is characterized by using the modified pulp containing a structure in which at least one of the second positional and third positional carbinol groups of the pyranose ring in the cellulose skeleton which is a constituting unit of the pulp fibers, is converted to carbonyl group, and a method for producing the same and the functional filter processed from the sheet are also provided.
