PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating and/or preventing eye disorders or microbial infection of at least one ocular tissue, the method comprising administration of one or more doses of an ophthalmic preparation to the eye.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided an ophthalmic preparation comprising povidone-iodine in a concentration of approximately 0.1% to approximately 2.5%. a lubricant, and/or a refreshing agent.
