By passing oxygen through the beverage for a predetermined period of time, an apparatus is provided for automatically breathing a beverage such as red wine. The apparatus is equipped with an air treatment system which processes the air to collect an oxygen content of 90% oxygen capacity or higher, including the atmosphere.
