Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems and methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, the device comprises a negative pressure source, a coupling circuit, a drive circuit, and a controller. The drive circuit provides a drive signal to the negative pressure source via the coupling circuit such that the negative pressure source provides negative pressure to the wound dressing. The coupling circuit includes an inductive reactance that limits the amount of change over time of the drive signal. The controller controls the drive signal provided by the drive circuit.
