To inhibit, using a simple configuration, a temperature rise from being caused by heat of an electronic circuit comprising electronic components at a small-sized connector of an electronic endoscope.SOLUTION: An electronic endoscope comprises: an insertion unit to be inserted into the inside of a body cavity, the insertion unit comprising at its tip an imaging element for imaging a biological tissue； and a connector that comprises an electronic circuit for performing signal processing on a signal of an imaged picture transmitted from the imaging element, transmits to a processor the signal of the imaged picture on which the signal processing is performed, and is provided so as to be capable of being connected to the processor.
