PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope in which color-reverse dose not occur in an observation image regardless of operation conditions of the electronic endoscope.
SOLUTION: A color converting circuit 34, a identifying circuit 36, and a data converting circuit 38 are positioned in a processor side signal processing circuit 28 of a processor. In the color converting circuit 34, R, G, B digital component signals are converted to Y, U, V brightness color difference digital component image signals. In the identifying circuit 36, whether or not color reversal occurs in dummy blue (B) signals passed through the color converting circuit 34 is identified. When color reversal occurs, the data array order of U,V signals of color difference color components among Y, U, V brightness color difference digital component image signals is counterchanged in the data converting circuit 38.
