PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin-whitening agent having excellent skin-whitening effects (a tyrosinase activity inhibitory effect, a melanogenesis inhibitory effect, etc.) and also having a high safety, and a skin care preparation, foodstuffs and beverages by utilizing the skin-whitening agent.
SOLUTION: This skin-whitening agent contains at least one selected from an extract of fermented leucaena (Leucaena leucocephala), extract of fermented guava (Psidium guajava) and extract of fermented Curcuma longa. The skin care preparation, and foodstuffs and beverages are also characterized by containing the skin-whitening agent.
