PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthodontic gripping device, where once seated in a storage station, an arch wire is tightly held by inner gripping surfaces, thereby resisting displacement of the gripping device relative to the arch wire.SOLUTION: The orthodontic gripping device includes a body 26 having a first arm portion 40 and a second arm portion 42, spaced apart and connected to each other. Each arm portion includes a jaw portion having an inner, arch wire-gripping surface. The inner gripping surfaces are disposed opposite one another in spaced relation, with a storage station defined therebetween for receiving the arch wire. At least a portion of the storage station is sized smaller than the arch wire.
