PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a value-added sheet material for food by holding a trehalose- and mineral-containing composite and transferring the composite over the food which contacts the sheet material in each kind of the sheet material for food which makes direct or indirect contact with materials such as kitchen paper, cooking paper, a storage sheet, a drop-lid and the like.SOLUTION: The sheet material S for food is a kind to contact food and is formed by adding a mineral adjusting liquid 2, whose raw material is deep oceanic water mixed with trehalose, to a base sheet 1 and by holding a composite TM whose raw material is trehalose and deep oceanic sea water to the base sheet 1.
