PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembling of a spool unit of a fishing reel.SOLUTION: A spool unit 9 consists of a spool shaft 20 and a spool 14. The spool shaft 20 is provided rotatably at a reel body 11. The spool 14 is fitted to the spool shaft 20. The spool unit 9 has a notch portion 114 and a projecting portion 116. The notch portion 114 is provided at one of the spool 14 and the spool shaft 20. The notch portion 114 is notched in a direction along the spool shaft 20. The projecting portion 116 is provided at the other one of the spool 14 and the spool shaft 20.
